Fundraising

Dr. Howard’s PTA is active throughout the year and has something for everyone at our school. Every year, we provide school T-shirts, directories, and yearbooks to all students and staff, free of charge. The funds we raise also go toward things like mini-grants of up to $250 each, which teachers use for classroom needs they would otherwise pay out of pocket. Our Scholastic Book Fair proceeds benefit the classrooms and the school library, and provide every student with a free book during the school-wide Reading Incentive Program. Our programming initiatives include new after-school clubs, such as Spanish, as well as a Health and Wellness Fair to complement our fall Walk-a-Thon fundraiser. Evening events such as the Back-to-School Picnic and a Pizza and Movie Night help students and families build friendships within our community.

LAST SCRIP GIFT CARD ORDER We will be placing one more order from Scrip for gift cards this school year. Gift cards are available to most chain restaurants and stores, including online sites like Amazon and iTunes. They are good at all locations nationwide and do not expire. Gift cards make great gifts for graduations, for year-end teacher gifts and summer travel, in addition to covering everyday expenses. A portion of every gift card purchase is given back to our school from Scrip, so it's a great way to support Dr. Howard. You may use the order form that came home in your brown Scrip envelope earlier this year. Extra copies of the order form can be found in the PTA box in the office or at this webpage. *Order forms are due Friday, May 7th* and cards will be distributed the week of May 17. Even if you are not ordering any gift cards, please turn in your brown Scrip envelopes anyway so that they can be reused next year. Thank you for supporting our school!
